NSPCC Number Day
Across Herne View Church of England Primary School, pupils have been taking part in NSPCC Number Day. This has been a fantastic day celebrating everything Maths from fun number problems to tricky puzzles and investigations. Throughout the school, pupils and staff have all marked the occasion by following the theme of 'Dress Up For Digits' and it has been great seeing everyone take part as well as developing some creative ways of showing off numbers.
Up and down the school, children have had great fun experimenting with numbers and Maths problems.
Oscar H commented, 'I really enjoyed working with my partner to solve Maths problems using number cards'
Eva-Mae H shared, 'I enjoyed Number Day because we could work through the Maths problems with a partner'
A Year 3 child said, 'I have loved dressing up for Number Day'
A Year 6 child stated, 'It was great fun trying to crack the Sudoku puzzles'
As well as dressing up and having great fun with numbers, the school were able to raise a fantastic amount for a very worthy and important cause and want to thank everyone for their contributions.
Thanks go to the school’s Maths Subject Leads for arranging the day, Mr Musgrave, Mr Seaton and Mrs Soughton.
