School readiness

We are looking forward to welcoming our new starters to Reception in September 2025.

Our first Induction event will be a meeting for parents on Wednesday 4th June, with a choice of attending at either 9.30am or 6.00pm. At this meeting we will go through the induction process

Further transition events include (more details to follow): 

• Teachers in Reception will try to visit all local childcare settings 

• Pre-Schools and Childminders will be invited to come and visit school with their children, meet the staff and play on the activity trail. 

• We know for many the last time you were in a Reception class is when you attended one yourself so we are going to be offering opportunities in the w/c 16th June for families to come and join the current Reception children in continuous provision.

• Children will have opportunities to visit on their own on Wednesday 2nd July in the afternoon 1.30pm-3.00pm and Friday 18th July in the morning 9.30am-11.00am in the morning. 

Children can start on either a full time or a part time basis from Monday 8th September 2025.

Part time basis is 1.15 pm to 3.20 pm from Monday 8th September to Friday 12th September inclusive.

For week commencing 15th September – 11:30am- 3:20pm (staying for lunch).

Full time from Monday 22rd September.
