Reception and KS1 Bonfire Day

On Wednesday 5th of November, Reception and KS1 children took part in a vibrant Firework Celebration Day, filled with creativity, music, and movement. The day was designed to spark imagination and joy, with every child participating in six exciting workshops led by our wonderful teaching team.

In the Drama workshop, children used their bodies to create expressive firework shapes, bursting with energy and imagination. The two Art workshops saw children crafting beautiful collage bonfire pictures and colourful oil pastel firework displays, capturing the excitement of fireworks night through texture and colour. Meanwhile, in the two Music workshops, children sang cheerful campfire songs and explored sound by creating their own firework-inspired compositions using a variety of instruments. In the Dance workshop,  children twirled, jumped, and moved like fireworks lighting up the sky.

Ceilia "I had so much fun doing all of the stuff around the school. It has made me excited for the fireworks!"

Harvey "I liked using the instruments and making it sound like fireworks exploding."

Sienna "I want it to be Firework Day every day because I love Art and Drama and Dancing!"

The day was a joyful celebration of creativity and collaboration, and the children’s enthusiasm truly made it sparkle. A huge thank you to all the staff who made this memorable day possible!
