Ilminster Literary Festival Writing Competition

We were thrilled this week when the results were announced for this year's Ilminster Literary Festival's Writing Competiton. We had a large number of children enter from Herne View along with a number of other local schools and contragtulations to Nyla who was runner up in her class and Megan who achieved highly commended. The presentation, held at Ilminster Library, saw the children presented with their certificates and prizes by the festival committee trustees who spoke about how much they had enjoyed reading the children's writing and how difficult it had been for them to choose the winners. All winning entries will be published in the next edition of the Ilminster press.
